18B - Base of UCSC via Mission

Free Fare to the County Fair!

Santa Cruz METRO is offering free rides on fixed-route and ParaCruz services to the Santa Cruz County Fair, September 10–14, at the Watsonville Fairgrounds. Take Routes 79 or 79F from the Watsonville Transit Center. Wednesday through Friday, departures will run from 10:35am to 9:35pm. On Saturday and Sunday, departures will run from 8:35am to 9:35pm. Return trips from the Fairgrounds will depart hourly, on the hour. Riders may request a voucher from the operator upon arrival at the Fairgrounds for discounted admission. Route 18B – UCSC Base of Campus – Mission

NEW ROUTE SCHEDULE CHANGE

Weekdays: Will not operate on weekdays, as the full Route 18 will operate 15-minute frequency.

Weekends: Will operate from noon to 7:00pm. This shorter variant of Route 18 (noted as “18B” on headsigns) will run from River Front Transit Center to Bay & High, then return to River Front Transit Center as Route 19B. Riders are permitted to stay onboard to ride Route 19B. Similarly, Route 19B trips will start at River Front and end at High & Bay, then return as Route 18B. Trip departure and arrival times have been adjusted along the route.
