19B - Base of UCSC via Bay

Free Fare to the County Fair!

Santa Cruz METRO is offering free rides on fixed-route and ParaCruz services to the Santa Cruz County Fair, September 10–14, at the Watsonville Fairgrounds. Take Routes 79 or 79F from the Watsonville Transit Center. Wednesday through Friday, departures will run from 10:35am to 9:35pm. On Saturday and Sunday, departures will run from 8:35am to 9:35pm. Return trips from the Fairgrounds will depart hourly, on the hour. Riders may request a voucher from the operator upon arrival at the Fairgrounds for discounted admission. Route 19B – UCSC Base of Campus – Bay

NEW ROUTE SCHEDULE CHANGE

Weekdays: Will not operate on weekdays, as the full Route 19 will operate 15-minute frequency.

Weekends: Will operate from 12:47pm to 7:17pm. This shorter variant of Route 19 (noted as “19B” on headsigns) will run from River Front Transit Center to High & Bay, then return to River Front Transit Center as Route 18B. Riders are permitted to stay onboard to ride Route 18B. Similarly, Route 18B trips will start at River Front and end at Bay & High, then return as Route 19B. Trip departure and arrival times have been adjusted along the route.
